Overview: Coaching Process
01
Financial Assessment

The first thing we need to do is learn about your finances. We conduct a complete financial assessment with where you are now, and help you understand how to be more efficient with what you have. This session allows our coaches to determine how we’re going to shape our coaching to cater to your individual needs.

02
Cash Flow Management

We then identify problem areas and help you understand your cash flow. In order for you to lay down the foundation to building wealth, it’s crucial that you understand what you have coming in, and what you have going out. This allows you to create an spending plan so that your money can be allocated properly in order to achieve your financial goals.

03
Investment Analysis or Debt Reduction

Depending on your current situation, we either focus on debt reduction where we set you up on a cash flow plan to reduce your debts faster than you ever imagined, and/or, we analyze your investments. This is where our coaches will evaluate your investment portfolio and provide you with opportunities to put more money in your pocket every year.

04
Roadmap to Financial Freedom

Finally, we wrap up all of the pieces and ensure that you feel comfortable and confident in your plan moving forward. At this point, we will walk you through the process to achieve the financial freedom that you’ve always dreamed of, using the resources and tools from our previous sessions.

05
Accountability & Plan Refinement

Your finances can change quickly. We understand that. This is one of the reasons why we provide our clients with accountability and plan refinement to adjust to these changes. This step is also crucial to ensure that you’re executing on what you’ve learned through our program.

06
Outgoing Financial Report

On the final step, our coaches will take you through a wrap up report where you’ll be able to see how much your finances have changed over the 6 months of coaching. This is where you’ll be able to see the financial impact that your hard work and dedication had on your finances.

Meet Our Coaches

I’ve been collaborating with Enriched Academy since 2017 to develop our Financial Coaching program into the effective, results-driven program it is today. Together with my colleagues at Enriched Academy, we are on a mission to make financial freedom accessible to all Canadians across the country.

We do this by developing a practical understanding of basic financial principles including net worth, managing cash flow, and creating passive income to fund retirement. My coaching strengths include debt reduction, cash flow management, investment analysis, self-directed investing and private lending.

Prior to joining Enriched Academy, I was working in Toronto and living a comfortable, but far from extravagant lifestyle. I had dreamed since I was young of a 6-month adventure to South America and Southeast Asia, and I managed to save 40% of my income in one year to fund the trip. I quit my job, got rid of my apartment and left Toronto to go on the adventure - the Huffington Post even wrote an article about me.

For many people, this kind of adventure leaves them broke or indebted upon their return. I actually kept enough money aside to move back to Toronto and live a comfortable life in a very expensive city. It’s been over four years now and I continue to invest 30% of my income and I’m on track to retire at age 40.

How did I do this? I have to give credit to my parents who taught me to be fiscally responsible from an early age, just like we believe at Enriched Academy! I also practice what I preach and apply everything I teach my clients to my own financial life.

We do this by developing a practical understanding of basic financial principles including net worth, managing cash flow, and creating passive income to fund retirement. My coaching strengths include debt reduction, cash flow management, investment analysis, self-directed investing and private lending.

Throughout my adult life I have always been intrigued by making money and wondering why people use it the way they do. Financial matters can be deeply personal and difficult to discuss. I have helped many clients get through the type of money discussions they needed to have but did not really want to have with anyone else.

My professional career has mainly been in the investment industry, and I am well-versed in helping people invest in mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds and other financial resources. However, my true passion is to educate and empower my clients to manage their own investments. I believe that with the right knowledge and some initial guidance and support, everyone should be able to successfully manage their own financial life.

Prior to joining Enriched, I was an avid real estate investor and accumulated 5 rental properties in Ontario in under 10 years. I don’t feel timing or luck had anything to do with my success. It was my ability to leverage the knowledge I had and put it into action that really drove my success. I am living proof that clear and concise goals lead to financial freedom, and this idea forms an integral part of the overall financial strategy for my Enriched Academy clients.

In spring of 2021 I moved my young family to Nova Scotia in search of a more relaxed way of life and to find the work-life balance all Canadians should have. Retiring early is not a goal of mine – but I do plan on having the income from my passive investments cover our living expenses before I reach 40.

My parents are the most frugal and hard-working people I know, and from a young age I’ve always said, “I want to make money with my brain and not my body.” I look forward to discussing your financial beliefs and challenging you to achieve the lifestyle you want.

I have worked in the financial industry for over 30 years, and I am passionate about helping Canadian’s achieve financial freedom!

I grew up on Manitoulin Island in Ontario and started out in my career as a bank teller and moved into financial planning, coaching and leadership roles throughout the years. When I retired from my Banking career in 2019, I opened my own private practice. I am very excited to have joined the Enriched Academy team to achieve the mission of making financial freedom accessible to all Canadians.

My introduction to the Financial Industry came when we closed our business after almost 10 years. The financial stress I was under had negatively impacted my mental and physical health, and I reached out for help. It was quite an eye-opener, and I became obsessed with learning about money management. That's when I decided to become a Financial Advisor.

To start over with nothing in my late 40s was a very humbling experience, and it came with a lot of sacrifices. But fast forward 5 years later to not only being financially secure and mortgage- free, but it is now my passion to share what I have learned with others, and my responsibility. I decided to focus on being a money coach and started exploring the psychology side of finances, and how our actions are the results of our beliefs and thoughts around money.

My mission
  • To help individuals and families develop and implement money strategies for making better financial decisions and establishing a balanced, healthy relationship with money
  • To encourage people to talk openly about money, without fear and shame
  • To help parents teach their children good money habits

What we focus on grows. Learning how to improve our money management skills and money mindset and taking action on what we learn will undoubtedly improve our financial health. And in turn, improves our overall health. I am happy to be a part of Enriched Academy so I can reach more people throughout the country and be surrounded by other financial experts.

I am very excited to be a Financial Coach with the Enriched Academy team, allowing me to apply my experience, towards the mission of achieving financial wellness for every Canadian.

I’ve been in the financial industry since 2015 as a financial advisor. What I like the most is to create a financial structure for people and make sure every aspect of their finances is covered, in a way that is simple to apply and manage. I make sure that my clients feel comfortable and invested in their work because constant efforts give the most rewards. The strategies that I teach also allow me to grow my own net worth and manage my own portfolio in my journey towards financial independence.

I didn’t know anything about finances when I was growing up, which caused a lot of stress when I became financially independent. Gaining financial knowledge helped me feel like I’m in control of my finances and on track toward reaching my goals. I am excited to help like-minded people do the same with the Enriched Academy coaching program.

I moved a lot because I’m really curious and finally settled in Quebec city where I got the best of both worlds, which is nature and culture in the same place. I plan to spend time with my friends and family, write books and blogs, and never stop learning new things.

The strategies that I teach have also allowed me to grow my own net worth and manage my own portfolio on my journey towards financial independence.

Growing up as an immigrant from a single parent family – I knew that we did not have much. The script I followed was “Money is for survival”.

After completing 2 degrees, I was $30,000 in debt. With an entry level position, dedication, commitment, and a plan - I paid the debt off in 2 years.

After some time, I worked for an amazing organization where I facilitated financial literacy workshops. I also helped the organization create and launch their thriving financial coaching program. I completely enjoyed my job! It is an honor to walk alongside people to uncover how their assets (financial and otherwise) can support their dreams. As I excelled in my role, I was offered a position to train financial coaches and lead Calgary’s financial coaching community of practice.

Along my journey as a financial educator, coach, and trainer I discovered I can change my money mindset and alter my money scripts to redirect my life. My new money script is “Money is a tool that helps me live my best life”.

I have lived and witnessed the importance of financial literacy. I live with my husband and daughter in Calgary, Alberta and our family is on track to be Financially Independent and Retire Early (FIRE) by November 16, 2030.

After completing 2 degrees, I was $30,000 in debt. With an entry level position, dedication, commitment, and a plan - I paid the debt off in 2 years.

After some time, I worked for an amazing organization where I facilitated financial literacy workshops.

I’ve been working as a financial advisor since 2015 and I am currently working towards my Certified Financial Planner designation. What I like the most is to create a structure for people and make sure every aspect of their finances is covered, in a way that is simple to apply and easy to manage. I make sure my clients feel comfortable and invested in their financial planning because constant efforts give the most rewards. The strategies that I teach have also allowed me to grow my own net worth and manage my own portfolio on my journey towards financial independence.

I didn’t know anything about finances when I was growing up, which caused a lot of stress when I became financially independent. Gaining financial knowledge helped me feel like I’m in control of my finances and on track toward reaching my goals. I am excited to help like-minded people do the same as a money coach in the Enriched Academy program.

I moved a lot because I’m really curious and finally settled in Quebec city where I got the best of both worlds, which is nature and culture in the same place. I plan to spend time with my friends and family, write books and blogs, and never stop learning new things.

Along my journey as a financial educator, money coach, and trainer I discovered I can change my money mindset and alter my money scripts to redirect my life. My new money script is “Money is a tool that helps me live my best life”.

I have lived and witnessed the importance of financial literacy. I live with my husband and daughter in Calgary, Alberta and our family is on track to be Financially Independent and Retire Early (FIRE) by 2028.

Need More Information?

You can find your answers here.

Everyone can use a little clarity with their finances. And sometimes a gentle kick in the pants is all we need. A financial coach brings an unbiased and highly knowledgeable perspective to help you understand your current situation, set financial goals, and identify alternatives. A coach will also give you a layer of support and accountability to help you achieve those goals!

Our sessions are held virtually so we can share screens and talk face to face. You do not need to be tech savvy to join coaching, but we suggest being familiar with how to use the internet, Excel documents, Google Drive, and our online tools. We can also help you fill out the worksheets if you require. Just come prepared with your homework.

Yes! If you have a question about your homework or need a second set of eyes/ears on a financial product or idea you have, you can email your coach directly. Please allow your coach up to 48 hours to respond as they work with multiple clients and may not be able to get to you right away.

We don’t sell products or manage your investments, but we can help point you in the right direction. Our ENTIRE focus is on educating you and helping you understand your financial situation. We want to show you where you are today and how to get to where you want to be, and help you plan all the steps you will need to take along the way. After that, we guide you through that process with expert support and accountability.

We do! But we don’t guarantee a certain result because this is a customized program and every client has different goals. We stand behind our material and don’t recommend our coaching services unless you really want to, and are ready to make a change. We’re here to make a difference in your financial future, and our program works if you stick with it and do your homework. If you complete the first two sessions in the first 30 days after your enrollment, and don’t think coaching is for you, then you can apply for a refund.

Of course! None of our clients are the same, and we treat each of our clients differently depending on where they are on their financial journey. We’ve seen it all and will cater our coaching to whatever your goals are. If you’re just starting out with a new job, need to get out of debt, have investments, entering retirement, etc. just let us know what your goals are, and we can help you achieve them.

YES! We welcome your referrals with open arms - financial literacy and financial freedom are something all Canadians should share! If you loved our coaching program, please share your success with your network. You can share THIS LINK on your social media, via email, text, or word of mouth. Your referrals can sign up for a FREE Financial Assessment Call to see if coaching is a good fit for them. And if it is, and if they successfully complete all 6 sessions of coaching, then we’ll send you AND your referral a $125 cash bonus as a Thank You!

Our coaching program is an investment in yourself and your future. Consider it the same as taking a College/University course in personal finance – that’s what our program is. Our program works for those who are ready to make a financial change in their lives, and who are coachable. However, if we feel that coaching is not right for you, we will give you your money back, at the discretion of the coach. We are here to help you and make a difference in the lives of Canadians.... because everyone deserves financial awareness. If you feel like you’re not fully ready for coaching just yet, you should look at the online Wealth Mastery program.

Coaching is not designed just for wealth building. It is tailored to your personal circumstances, and we have helped many coaching clients with debt reduction and elimination. We work with you to come up with a strategy to support you on your financial journey, from paying someone else, to paying yourself first.

No one should ever feel “uncomfortable” with their investments. Whether you are ultra-conservative or super aggressive, our goal is to educate you on the options available and help you evaluate the risk and make an informed decision for yourself. In addition to risk, we will also help you with balancing your overall portfolio and understanding the various costs and fees associated with your investments.

Absolutely! We love connecting with our clients for check-in and accountability sessions to help you continue your wealth building journey. If you are interested in extending your coaching program, you can CHECK OUT THIS LINK or discuss with your coach directly for more information.

Imagine joining a gym for the first time or taking part in a class on a brand-new topic. Sometimes you wish you had an instructor or coach to guide you through building those new muscles or correcting your form; or someone to ask questions to in class when you get stuck on a topic that is just not making sense. Well – enter in our financial coaches. As you work through the program, our financial coaches play the role of expert bootcamp trainers. They tweak your program to help you get the maximum results. Like a coach, they expect you to do the required lifting and exercises and will hold you accountable to your commitments. So, like any change and a good coach, they will help take you to the next level so long as you are willing to do the work required. The coaching program itself includes six, one-on-one sessions with your coach, tickets to our annual live events, partner/spousal inclusion, and lifetime access to our online curriculum.

Great question! And it’s one that we get a lot. We can cover a variety of topics depending on your needs. Coaching can help with budgeting and expense management, saving, debt reduction, investing in stocks, real estate and other passive income strategies, registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RIF, RESP etc.), retirement planning, wills, and insurance. Each client is different, and our coaches ensure you get a perfect fit with your situation and needs. Please note that we do not teach advanced investing techniques like day trading or options. We’re all about creating a diversified portfolio that delivers solid returns over the long term.

In the easiest way possible, a financial coach provides clients with education, information, and accountability so that you can make the best possible position to create initial wealth or become the most efficient with the wealth you've already created. Financial coaches tend to focus on fundamental financial needs and usually take a more personal, hands-on approach to working with clients. While a financial coach works with you as a partner, you are ultimately responsible for your success. A financial advisor/planner works to manage and build on wealth that already exists and can work with you on all stages of your financial life. Most people work with them on investments and future planning. With more of a focus on managing your assets and long-term planning, advisors tend to take an analytical approach in their work. Your working relationship with your financial advisor may not include as much communication as with a financial coach, but your advisor should still check in with you throughout the year.

Our coaches have a diverse background experience and qualifications which you can learn more about here.

See our education in action or learn more about how we can help you or your organization.
